Pretty Fairy

Hi - this gorgeous image is from Lili of the Valley. I coloured her in with my watercolour pencils and added dashes of fine glitter here and there. The pink backing paper is from Basic Grey and I lightly sandpapered the edges of this. All other papers are Papermania's Blueberry Hill. I have also used pearls and Prima flowers. Thanks for looking - Michelle

Hi Michelle!

Your cards are just gorgeous!! Paper arts (cards, dolls, and scrapbooking) kind of escapes me, lol! I've tried it and well, it's certainly not my forte. I truly admire the design element that you possess :^) I look at your work and think wow, I would never have thought to do that! How cool! :^)

Thanks so much for your sweet comments! It was really exciting to be on the cover..an honor, truly :^) I'll always cherish it!
About the school...after a month of packing up my room and not looking forward to going to this new school, I got a phone call from my district. They said they re-worked the pairings for Art, Music, and PE teachers and offered me my old job back. Talk about coming full-circle!! However, I promised myself that I will not be complacent...I am still going to see what else is out there, artwise :^) It's easy to fall back into one's old ways...especially if they are comfortable, ya know? I mean, logically, I can't afford to up and leave my job, but if something comes along that I would love to do, by golly, I'm doin' it!

How are you doing??? Any plans for the summer?
Fairydust,
Candice
