Sleeping Fairy using my Recycled Scallops

In a previous post (link here ), I made my own pretty scallops from cereal boxes. I had two and used this is the second one. She is a sleeping fairy resting upon my second scallop. Isn't she gorgeous, and looks so peaceful. She is part of the snag em stamps from papermania and for the backing paper I used the wand stamp and silver pigment ink - thank you for looking - Michelle x

Sugar Nellie's Claudia the Artist & a bit of recycling

Hi everyone - here is a card that has been made up using a recycled cereal packet as an element on it. As you can see from the pics the scalloped circle started life as a Special K box, the pictures kind of explain everything. I just die cut the scalloped circles with my cuttlebug, painted them with acrylic paint and then stamped a swirly flower design onto them. I also painted the back of these circles just in case I wanted to use them as a raised element - wouldn't be any good if recipient got a peak of Special K on the back lol. Anyhow, I have used my green and silver circle for this card to go with Claudia. I inked the edges of the beige flower and the tips of the green leaves. I stamped the corners with Laura Ashley Conemmera stamp and attached little purple pearls as well. Thanks for looking - Michelle x

Altered Heart Box for Son's Baby Hair

Evening everyone - I made this heart box to put my son’s baby hair in and also hair from his first haircut. I painted the box with blue acrylic paint and the applied stickles baby blue glitter all around the edge of the base. I then stamped swirls and the letter B on top then added flowers, butterflies and gems to the lid. This actually isn’t how I planned the box to look it just sort of happened this way but I still like it and so does my Brandon. His hair has been tied with blue bows inside the box. Handbag Gift Bag

My first attempt at using a template to make a gift bag. I really like the way it turned out. The template came free with Papercraft Inspirations and with it were templates to make other things such as gift box, envelope with lining and flowers.

Decorated Pot of Sugar Scrub

This was made for a challenge over on the Crafts Beautiful website.
I remember the days when I use to be able to have pampering bubble baths, this is no longer the case any more as i’m busy busy busy. I do sometimes sneak in the odd skin treat such as my sugar scrub. This is my sugar scrub decorated as it was rather plain but it is very pretty now and looks lovely in my bathroom.
I used doodlebug paper, margaret sherry stamps (coloured in with watercolour pencils), doodlbug pearl clam brad and my of course my nestabilities.
Oh I also had to paint part of the lid with paint acrylic paint. :0)

A Pencil Pot for My Son Brandon Made from a Gravy Container

I made this for Brandon’s pencils as he had loads all over the place, now they are just in one place sitting on his shelf! As you can see from the photos it is a Bisto Gravy Container. I painted the rim with white acrylic paint, used some spotty paper around it and stamped a Magnolia image which goes well with this project. I used watercolour pencils to colour it in and some green stickles for his little wings. I think stuck a sparkly black B onto his top. Brandon liked it i’m glad to say.

Sarah Kay Notebook

Here is my entry for yet another challenge over on CB. I used the Laura Ashley paper and ribbons I won at their masquerade party. I coloured the Sarah Kay image with watercolour pencils and kept the colours to match everything else. As well as ribbon on the binding bits i wove peach rosebuds (this is because on my last notebook I just used ribbon and wanted this to look a little different). I added bling and a peach bouquet. I also added the same Laura Ashley paper on the inside of notebook for a professional finish. Michelle x

Flower Fairies Castle 1

I thought these fairies might need a castle so I made them one. I'm quite pleased with this make as I designed my own template to make it and it was great fun to do. I had to glue two pink cards together, and use quite a bit of card from the cards in the pack to make the turrets (decorated inside and out), and door but it was worth it. I love the way the little fairy boy is peeking out of the window because he reminds me of my son Brandon when he is peeking out the window, he even has a similar haircut to my DS. I also like the little bee that's making a bee line (no pun intended) towards the flowers. I cut the white off this diecut to make it more authentic. As the card progressed I realised it would make a lovely birthday card for a little girl, hence the happy birthday framed picture on the wall, with two other pretty framed pictures on either side. The fairies inside look like they are either relaxing or dancing away. I think I will give this to my little neice Mikayla for her 2nd birthday tomorrow, on behalf of Brandon.
